During this time of social distancing, Dr. Henry Young has implemented distance technology to conduct his research examining characteristics, processes of care, and outcomes of patients infected with SARS-COV-2 and admitted to the hospital in Albany, GA.  His team, including Dr. Tiffany Washington, OIBR Affiliate and Associate Professor of Social Work, is using a retrospective design to assess data from patient medical records.

According to Dr. Young, this research is important because it will help us understand factors that contribute to negative outcomes in vulnerable populations with COVID-19.
